Professional Development
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI)
Professional development is continuing education and career training that individuals pursue after entering the workforce. Remember, professional development is all about continuous learning and growth!
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is used to describe three values that many organizations today strive to embody to help meet the needs of people from all walks of life.
Microlearning
Microlearning is a way of teaching and training employees in ways that take little time but ultimately reach the intended goal.
Benefits of Microlearning:
-
When people know that their learning or training will take only less than 30 minutes it’s much easier for them to sit through. Even people with great attention spans can struggle to remain engaged in long learning sessions.
-
Most people are wired to engage with new information for shorter, rather than longer, periods of time. Microlearning caters to this and keeps employees engaged.

Facilitative Mediation:
-
In facilitative mediation, a trained mediator acts as a neutral third party. Their role is to facilitate negotiation between the conflicting parties.
-
Instead of imposing decisions, the mediator encourages the disputants to explore each other’s deeper interests and find their own voluntary solutions.
